The following dress is not permitted at Roosevelt STAY:
- Clothing displaying profanity, drugs, alcohol, tobacco products, violent messages, sexual messages, or gang symbols are not permitted.
- Skirts, dresses, and shorts should be no shorter than fingertip length.
- Midriff shirts, undershirts (wife beaters), muscle shirts, and shirts exposing back and shoulders are not permitted.
- Tank tops, low cut necklines, off-the-shoulder, strapless, and spaghetti straps must be worn with a jackets/sweaters to cover exposed skin.
- Transparent or see-through clothing not permitted.
- Slits in bottoms or dresses must not extend higher than fingertip length.
- Pants should be secured at the waist; no sagging below the waist to expose undergarments.
Being dressed inappropriately will result in:
- Being stopped at front upon entry and given the option to change clothes.
- Having the option to call parent/guardian for a change of clothing to be brought to the school.
- Being given a t-shirt that must be worn until dismissal.
Refusal to follow policy and/or consent to one of the above will result in disciplinary action. (may include ISS, call to parent, administrative conference, etc.) Students will not be permitted pass security without being dressed appropriately.
